EYE lunches Project launches the latest study: "Impact of COVID-19 on women’s employment in childcare sector"
Together with Association of Private Preschool Institutions, EYE Project launches the latest study: "Impact of COVID-19 on women’s employment in childcare sector" 🤱
Today we have officially launched our latest study through a discussion panel consisting of Mrs. Edi Gusia, Agency for Gender Equality, Mrs. Saxhide Mustafa, Kosovo Women Economic Forum, Mrs. Dafina Krasniqi, Unicef Kosovo Programme, Mrs. Gezime Rexhepi, Association of Private Preschool Institutions and Mrs. Vlora Kastrati, EYE Project.
This study aimed to assess the impact of COVID-19 on the number of employees in the childcare sector, its revenues, and the number of children served. It also put a light on the most affected job positions, services and comparisons of the volume of work per employee within this year and previous years.
EYE sees gender as a key topic in its work and it is mainstreaming some of these questions through all of its activities while at the same time looking for Gender-specific interventions that will improve labour participation of young women.
