Today, on 05 November 2014, the Steering Committee (SC) of the EYE project held its forth meeting, to discuss the six-month activity report. EYE will enter its third year of implementation in 2015 and many activities will follow with the same mission of enhancing youth employment in Kosovo.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Nenad Rasic, Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, and co-chaired by representatives of the Swiss Cooperation Office in Kosovo. The members of the Steering Committee were briefed about the progress to date and planned interventions in the next six months.
One of the recommendations coming out of today’s meeting was to increase interventions that would increase the number of women internships within the lead firms. Ms Linda Shala, member of SC, indicated that there is a tendency of the private sector companies to hire more men than women and urged the project to explore ways to deal with this problem.The SC approved the EYE Half Year report as presented.
