Skill Gap Analyses
A conference for launching of the Skills Gap Analyses for Trade, Manufacturing and Services (non ICT) study was held on October 11, 2017, at Hotel Nartel, Pristina.
The event included a panel discussion featuring Mr. Shyqiri Bytyqi, Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Skender Reçica, Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Mr. Patrick Etienne, SDC Director for Kosovo, Mr. Timothy Sparkman, Program Director at EYE Project, and Mr. Arian Zeka, AmCham Executive Director. Mr. Visar Hapçiu, AmCham Policy Manager presented the main findings of the study.
Around 40 representatives from the private sector, education institutions, as well as local and international organizations participated in the event. The feedback provided by the majority of participants on the study was very positive. The conference included constructive discussions on the topic at hand, and respective ministers pledged to create working groups for reflecting upon the recommendations of the study.
Skill Gap Analysis report was prepared by American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo, as part of a joint with the SDC project Enhancing Youth Employment.
