


Press Release – 76 participants of Women in Online Work project received their certificates
Prishtina, Kosovo, 20 Dec 2017 – RIT Kosovo (AUK) – RIT Kosovo organized the graduation ceremony for the completion of the Women in Online Work (WOW) project. The aim of the WOW project was to increase the awareness of young women on the role of online work as an employment opportunity and the prospective engagement in distance working.
Out of 100 women who were part of the project, 76 participants of WOW received their certificates after completing 100 hours of training. Out of 76 girls, 25 of them were from city of Mitrovica while 45 other from Podujeva.
The opening remarks were delivered by Mr. Visar Jasiqi, Chief Operation and Outreach Officer at RIT Kosovo (A.U.K), followed by Mr. Timothy Sparkman, Director of EYE project and Ms. Besa Gashi-Zogaj, former deputy Minister of Economic Development. During her speech Ms. Gashi-Zogaj addressed the girls: “When girls support one another, incredible things can happen”.
The project “Enhancing Youth Employment” (EYE) of the Swiss Agency for Development (SDC) is implemented by HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Kosovo (HSIK) and Management Development Associates (MDA).
