Opening of Career Center in Prizren
Today together with Mrs. Arberie Nagavci, Minister of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Mr. Mytaher Haskuka, Mayor of Prizren, Mrs. Fikrije Zymberi, Director of AVETAE, and Mr. Alismet Çoçaj, we had the pleasure to mark the inauguration of a new career center at the Competence Center in Prizren, made possible as a result of a collaboration between AVETAE and the EYE project.
This career center is a big step for the youth of Prizren, as hundreds of students of this vocational school will be advised, facilitate their transition from school to the labor market, and will gradually contribute to addressing the skills mismatch that is the biggest challenge for the labor market in Kosovo.
Recent years have shown that now more than ever, career guidance is much needed by the youth of Kosovo. We need more career centers to teach students how to adapt to market changes, to identify their skills, facilitate employment, and equip them with skills to better understand the world of work.
It is worth mentioning that this career center was created through investment by AVETAE and the contribution of the EYE project in building the professional capacity of the center to provide quality services.
